EVU’s Annual General Meeting takes place in Berlin

On 2 September 2024, the European Vegetarian Union held its Annual General Meeting in Berlin. The meeting, attended by the EVU’s members, looked at the activities report over the last year, the EVU vision for the next year, and included an interactive policy-focused workshop.

The General Meeting also saw important elections for a 2-year mandate, where Felix Hnat (Austria) was reelected as EVU President.

Voting also saw:

  • Sebastian Joy (Germany) reelected as Vice President;
  • Johannes Gilli (Austria) reelected as Treasurer;
  • Louise Johansen (Denmark) elected as General Secretary;
  • Renato Pichler (Switzerland) reelected as Board Member;
  • Simone Fuhrmann (Switzerland) reelected as Board Member;
  • Lubomir Stoyanov (Bulgaria) reelected as Board Member;
  • Nathalie Jeneral (Luxembourg) reelected as Board Member;
  • Alejandra Salas (Spain) elected as Board Member.

 

The EVU was also very pleased to welcome a new associate member organisation, NÉGYOSZ (National Association of Producers and Distributors of Plant-Based Foods) from Hungary.
